At Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa, we are proud to have actively participated in the pilot phase of the Harmonized ESG Framework for Tourism Businesses, a collaborative initiative between the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) and Oxford University. By embracing this groundbreaking collaboration, we have demonstrated our commitment to sustainable practices and our dedication to shaping the future of the tourism industry. Our involvement in the program, from June to July 2023, has allowed us to contribute to the development of a standardized ESG framework, enabling us to assess our environmental impact, preserve natural resources, respect host communities, ensure economic viability, and reduce poverty. We are excited to share our experiences and learnings as we continue to lead the way towards a more sustainable future.
